Gallagher Fluid Seals, Inc. is a family owned company established by Walter B. Gallagher, Sr on January 16, 1956. In a small house in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the business was started as The Walter B. Gallagher Company. Established as a mechanical packings, gaskets, and seals distributor, the first year of operation generated sales of $48,000.

The initial sales thrust was aimed towards OEM and MRO accounts in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and New Castle County, Delaware. In order to handle the rapidly increasing business, the company moved to larger quarters in Conshohocken, PA in August of 1959. The company was incorporated in July of 1961. With 20 employees, in June of 1973, the company surpassed its first $1,000,000 in sales.

When a major supplier, Precision Rubber Products Corporation, closed its New Jersey office, Gallagher was offered the opportunity to take over this operation as a distributor. In May of 1976, a new office and warehouse space was built on land in King of Prussia, PA.

In March of 1998, a 5000 square foot addition was made and the company's name was changed to Gallagher Fluid Seals, Inc. This name change was more representative of the ownership of the company and reflective of the products stocked and sold. Mr. Gallagher has since retired from the company. His son, Joseph W. Gallagher, has taken the reigns of the company for the past fifteen years.

Our primary products (O-Rings, Teflon® seals, hydraulic & pneumatic packings, gaskets, compression packings, and customer elastomeric & plastic products) are second to none, however, it is our extensive service offerings that attract and retain loyal customers.
